Round #5 begins now

Well, I’m checked in at Crawford Long Hospital (room 7130, direct dial 404-686-7130) until later Thursday afternoon. Still waiting for chemo, though they should have that flowing within an hour or two. Not much to report at this time, other than I’m feeling fine (for now at least) and am looking forward to getting out on Thursday.

  1. I hope all goes well this round. Don't watch too much election coverage (it may be depress you).

  2. Dave,

I've been following your blog for a couple of months now. I am a Liposarcoma survior/patient, though I have Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma (it's in my abdomen).

I've followed along as you've gone through your rounds of chemo. I have been undergoing chemo treatment since mid August. I had a major surgery last April to have a 6 pound tumor removed from my belly. My right kidney also was removed. Like you, I've been on a roller coaster ride on a lot of things.

But I do want you to know that I have admired your good attitude and have thought about that often and tried to apply it to my own ordeal. Though I'm sure this blog was developed to update friends and family on your welfare, I found it and have checked it often to see how you've been doing. Thanks for sharing! Because we have a rare disease, I feel a sense of bond with you and hope and believe that you (and I) will overcome it.

Thanks again for sharing! I have a Caring Bridge site www.caringbridge.org/visit/ehs1 that I update for friends and family. My story is on there, too.

    My Best,
